A Sunny Surprise and a Day to Remember

What looked like it would be a rainy day turned out to be a perfectly sunny day full of fun potters and artists. It was fantastic being surrounded by like-minded folks, meeting new people, making new friends, and of course, selling some art. Of course, my wife couldn’t make it out of the show without buy some incredible pottery. This was such a fun show! It is always an honor to have people buy your art, especially when it is other artists whom you greatly admire and respect. A highlight of the day was seeing an old friend and his wife whom I had not seen in over 30 years—pretty much since our old NGTC days! Talk about being shocked! What an incredible surprise! Also, a huge thank you to all the artists and my friends who took time out of their busy schedule to stop to support me and all the other artists; you know who you are!

Well, it’s probably not surprising, but anyone who knows us, knows that my wife and I love to talk to people. We got busy talking and forgot to take photos of all the art we sold! While it was the least amount of pictures we have ever taken at a show, it doesn’t diminish what a great show that it was! To all the folks I missed getting pictures with of you, I am sorry! We certainly appreciate your business and enjoyed spending time with you all.

A huge thank you to Marcia Scroggs and Carolyn Simmons for the invite to the show! It may have been my first show with you guys, but I certainly hope it is not my last! Already looking forward to the 2nd weekend of next June. What a great day for everyone! You ladies sure do know how to put on a show and spoil your artists! All that food was amazing!
