North Ga. Arts Tour - Mark of the Potter, Batesville, GA

As part of the North Georgia Arts Tour, the iconic Mark of the Potter in Clarkesville, GA generously welcomed a small, curated group of local artists to exhibit their work just across the road from the historic pottery shop. Nestled beside the serene Soque River, the setting provided a picturesque backdrop—despite the cool, rainy weather—for a vibrant weekend of creativity, community, and connection.

Over the course of three days, artists braved the elements to share their work, meet fellow makers, and engage with visitors who came to enjoy the arts and support the local scene. From whimsical folk art to intricate fine pieces, there was something for every kind of art lover. Live music added a joyful note to the event, with The Jackie Papers performing their original children’s songs, delighting kids and adults alike.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by, offered kind words, purchased artwork, or simply showed up to support us—your encouragement means the world. A little rain couldn’t dampen our spirits, and we were reminded once again that when it comes to art, the show must go on!

Participating artists included:
Chris Allison of Chicken Fried Folk Art, Charlie Dinger, Kip Ramey, Mack Anderson, Madison Wright, Laura Rilling, Grace Dawn and The Jackie Papers, and Nathalia Dreyer.
